[UPDATE (01.05.2013): Added four new photos - see below!]
At the Fordham Road station on the Concourse Line, MTA fixed all six open entrances (see links to respective posts at the end of this post); turns out MTA’s fixing more than that! (Not that I mind, of course!)
Finally, here’s a shot of the southbound express platform; note the freshly repainted ceiling (in a shade of white unlike those I’ve seen in similar repair jobs); MTA also repainted station columns and other parts of the ceiling.
Here’s the preceding stairwell, also from the mezzanine. Notice something different? (Here’s a hint!)
N.B.: You might notice some cosmetic changes on the blog, so I’ll explain. I moved the links to my Photobucket albums and my YouTube channel to the top menu (do check them out!); also, links to my blog post categories are now nested under the “Home” link. Finally, I removed the search bar at the right side of the page since one already exists beside the “Home” link; these changes should simplify blog navigation. Note that you’ll still find links to my seven most recent posts, Twitter feed, and sites I like and/or find interesting on the right side of the page, along with a secure donation button (via PayPal; would greatly appreciate it!), hit counter, and copyright info.
