Let’s start by stating
That this new year will start off
Quite differently
Than the years of time ago -
Past of tears and sadness flows…
…given that I now know
What I want and where I’ll be
When the plans come through
And I come closer to you,
Together we shall be true…
…now, that’s not to say
That we won’t face challenges
As we craft this life
From the dregs of yesteryear -
This new beginning is clear.
No shades of the past,
No lingering shades of grey,
No excess baggage,
Not one fleece or hook or snare -
Only the proof that I care…
…so let’s move forward -
Set the course across the sea
Of forgetfulness,
lest you forget the purpose:
Sailing to eternal bliss!
